Abdul Razeed is a CPA qualified academic whose research area focuses on examining how different technologies influence the adoption, reporting of and the dissemination of social and environmental by organisations. Abdul's PhD thesis is examining a sample of US resource companies and traces the movement of their reporting practices over a 8 year period.
Abdul has presented in a number of international and domestic conferences, including the American Accounting Association Conference, the APIRA conference and the CESAR conferences both in the UK and in Australia. Abdul also acts as an ad hoc reviewer for a number of Accouting and Technology based journals.
Prior to joining the University of Sydney, Abdul held tenured position at the University of Melbourne. Abdul is currently teaching across both the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the University of Sydney. Abdul has been nominated and received a number of teaching and study awards including the Vice Challencers' Commendation for Academic Excellent (Murdoch University, 1995), nominated for Individual Teaching Award (University of Melbourne, 2000, 2001, 2002) and the Wayne Longergan Teaching Award (University of Sydney, 2006, 2007, 2009).
Abdul is the secretary of the University of Sydney's Sustainable Management of Organisations Group and the Business and Professional Ethics Group.
