Archie Chapman is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Discipline of Operations Management and Econometrics at the University of Sydney. Prior to working at the University of Sydney, Archie was a Research Fellow in the Intelligence, Agents, Multimedia Group in Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton. He completed his PhD under the supervision of Nick Jennings and Alex Rogers at Southampton, and David Leslie at the University of Bristol.
In general, Archie is interested in decentralised, automated and autonomic control of complex systems, whether they are for industrial uses, computational problems, or more general problems of social organisation (e.g. markets, common law, or evolved social norms).
Archie's PhD and Research Fellowship were supported by the award-winning ALADDIN project (Autonomous Learning Agents for Decentralised Data and Information Networks).
