Bio
Professor Eddie Anderson has been at the University of Sydney since 2008, having previously been a faculty member at the Australian Graduate School of Management, University of New South Wales and the University of Cambridge. For five years he was Associate Dean at the Australian Graduate School of Management and in 2006 he was Acting Dean at the AGSM. Professor Anderson has an honours degree in Mathematics from Trinity Hall, Cambridge, and a PhD in Operations Management, also from the University of Cambridge.
Professor Anderson has published three books and over 60 papers in international academic journals. Eleven students have successfully completed PhDs under his supervision. He has research interests in supply chain management; risk management; game theory and optimization, with a particular interest in applications in energy markets. He is area editor in Energy for the journal 'Operations Research'.
Professor Anderson's research interests in the behaviour of wholesale electricity markets have been supported by two Australian Research Council Discovery grants, and he holds a current ARC Discovery grant for work on 'Competitive Supplier Bidding in Supply Chains'. He is currently writing a book on Business Risk Management to be published by Wiley in 2013.
