Bio

Dr Jyoti Bhattacharjya is a Lecturer and ITLS Adviser on Procurement and Digital Supply Chain Initiatives. She coordinates and teaches two units of study, ITLS6003 Contemporary Procurement and ITLS6004 Supply Chain Visibility, and supervises both PhD and master's level research projects. Both her research and teaching innovation efforts have been supported by a number of Business School grants. Her research expertise primarily focusses on the following areas:

Big data analytics in supply chain management

  • Generating insights from unstructured social media data in retail supply chains
  • Combining spatial analytics with unstructured data for process improvements in global supply chains

Digital transformation of procurement and supply chains

  • Identifying enablers for the adoption of digital technologies in procurement and supply chains
  • Strategies for improving supply chain visibility for businesses and end-consumers

She serves on the editorial review boards of the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management (IJPDLM) and Production and Operations Management (POM).
