Mark Westcott is a senior lecturer in Economics and Business at the University of Sydney. His research into workplace employee organisation, union and corporate governance has been published in a number of leading Australian and international journals. Mark has recently co-edited (along with Professor Andrew Pendleton) a special issue of the Journal of Industrial Relations (September 2009) on employment relations and corporate governance. He is currently working on a number of projects examining the relationships between ownership, business financing and labour management. During 2009 Mark was a visiting scholar at the York Management School at the University of York in the UK.
Mark is currently Treasurer of the Association of Industrial Relations Academics of Australia and New Zealand (AIRAANZ), a position he has held for a number of years. He is also a member of the Australian Working Group on Financialization (AWGF) and the Business and Labour History Group (BLHG).?? Mark teaches in the areas of management and organisations, international and comparative employment relations and theories of work and organisation.
