Peggy Trompf was employed in different occupations before gaining her honours degree and working as an academic for many years. She was the Co-ordinator for the Centre for Cross -cultural Studies in Health and Medicine at the University of Sydney; and on its closure became a Senior Officer with the National Occupational Health and Safety Commission (NOHSC). She was the Director of the Workers Health Centre (WHC) in Sydney for 9 years. Currently, she is a consultant for the WHC in industrial hygiene and ergonomics. She is a member of the National Research Centre for OHS Regulation Consortium at ANU.
Working thesis title: Causes of Mortality in Building Industry and Role of Regulation
