Bio
Petri Hallikainen holds a D.Sc. (Econ.) degree from the Helsinki School of Economics. He earned his M.Sc. and L.Sc. degrees from the same institution. Before joining the discipline of Business Information Systems in The University of Sydney he worked as Assistant Professor in the Aalto University Business School (formerly Helsinki School of Economics), Department of Business Technology, Information Systems Science.
Petri's research interests are focused on two main research areas: IT investment evaluation and ERP implementations. He is interested in managerial processes related to IT evaluation and in constructing effective evaluation practices for organizations. His research on ERP implementations focuses on the social and organizational aspects, such as users' attitudes towards the new ERP system, how the system implementation affects professional identities and how the organizational change related to the ERP implementation is managed.
Moreover, he has researched adoption of electronic invoicing in organizations and acquiring feedback from wide audience users of web-based services.
