Bio
Dr. Seethamraju is the recipient of the School of Business Teaching Excellence award for the year 2004 and currently management accounting, accounting information systems and business process management in the faculty. His current research interests include enterprise systems, business process management and business education.
Prior to joining the academe, he had 12 years of corporate management, training and consulting experience in business information systems, operations management and industrial engineering. He currently serves in three boards i) Supply Chain Council ANZ, Director and Strategic Alliances Chair; ii) Vice-President, International Consortium for Electronic Business, and iii) President-elect, International Academy for Information Management, Special Interest group of the Association of Information Systems Education (AIS SIG-ED). He is the certified SAP Solutions consultant and is an invited member in the SAP University Alliance team to conduct train the trainer programs for academics. He has co-chaired an International Conference on Operations Management in Sydney, Australia in December 2000 and will be chairing and conducting an International Conference on Informatics Education and Research in St. Louis, Missouri, USA in December 2010.
He has extensive curriculum design experience and is one of the first few academics that have incorporated SAP, ARIS and other industry-standard software solutions into the business curriculum in the world. Ravi has published about 90 refereed journal articles and refereed papers in international conferences in the areas of enterprise systems, business process management, management education and management of engineers.
As a recipient of International Program Development Fund, he is conducting joint research with academics in Singapore Management University, Management Development Institute, Delhi, India. He won two University Teaching Improvement large grants and several research grants for his research. He is currently working on two research projects - 'Demand Chain management and the effects of enterprise systems', and 'Business process agility'.
He has a Ph.D. (UWS), a graduate diploma in adult education with distinction (UTS), masters in industrial engineering (NITIE, India) and bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering.
