Bio

Dr Rodney Coyte specializes in research combining strategy and the management of resource development and deployment in organizations. His PhD, completed in 2005, examines how teamwork structures affect organizational resource management and the effectiveness of strategic change. Dr Coyte's recent research explores: the effect of performance evaluation systems on information sharing behaviour and strategic alignment; organizational structure and strategic change factors enhancing learning and intellectual capital development; and processes affecting change in management accounting control practices. He publishes on incentive compensation system design effects on strategic alignment; knowledge sharing and development affects of management control systems and strategic resource management.

Dr Coyte's work has been published in top ranking accounting journals such as Management Accounting Research and Financial Accountability and Management. He also acts as an ad hoc reviewer for the Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal, Abacus, the Journal of Business Research, the Accounting Research Journal and the Australian Accounting Review.

Dr Coyte has managed business operations as an Information Technology Manager and conducted strategic and operational planning as a Business Planning Manager with the Mars Corporation. He also has extensive experience in information technology consulting, management consulting and the provision of management education to a diverse range of organisations in Australia and South East Asia.
