Dr. Rohan Miller holds a PhD in Marketing and Masters Degrees in Business Administration and Accounting. He is presently a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at The University of Sydney. He previously held the position as Research Director at a strategy and research company that specialises in the finance sector, and was the Research and Planning Manager at a publicly listed international gaming and technology company where he managed product planning and the global research and business intelligence program. Dr. Miller has also held academic positions at the Universities of Wollongong and Queensland.

Dr. Miller's research focuses on (1) consumption with negative effects (e.g. gambling, alcohol, food), (2) marketing communications, (3) public policy, and (4) children as consumers, and miscellaneous topics of interest (including urban animal management, wool value chains, ethics, asbestos and the environment). His research has been published in various academic journals, including the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of Marketing Communications, Marketing Theory, and Public Relations Review. He is an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Advertising and several other journals. Dr. Miller has served as an expert witness in several cases, including matters related to advertising, alcohol and gambling. After beginning his career was in the alcohol and media industries, Dr. Miller has extensively consulted to a variety of clients from government, the financial sector, peak industry groups, fmcg, plus others.
