Rose joined the Workplace Research Centre from New Zealand, where she ran her own research company (Heathrose Research Ltd). Prior to that she worked in senior positions in the New Zealand public service and as an academic at the Industrial Relations Centre at Victoria University of Wellington.

Rose's research interests include the nature of work and working, work and wellbeing, labour and employment policy and the ageing workforce. She has a long-standing interest in issues of equity in the labour market, particularly in the position of women and Maori. She has extensive experience in research design, and is a highly skilled qualitative researcher.

In addition to her research and academic skills, Rose has excellent written and oral communication skills, is a practiced presenter and an experienced facilitator of small and large groups.

Workplace Wellness Programmes

This will provide an evidence base to support better targeted investment in programmes that have been shown to be effective in delivering individual and organisational outcomes. The results will be disseminated through employer and policy networks, and will contribute to helping employers and policy-makers to appropriately channel their investments in preventive health to where they will have the greatest impact.
