Sandra has been teaching in management and international business for more than 10 years, specialising in strategy, organisation development, competitive intelligence and risk. Her teaching activities not only involve a broad spectrum of audiences at executive, postgraduate, and undergraduate levels but also span a wide cultural base. She has been a business development consultant for a variety of medium to large organisations from a broad spectrum of industries, providing strategic research and organisation development solutions. Notably, she has served as a consultant for research and business development to public private partnerships and government agencies. Her consulting experience also includes assisting private enterprises in international expansion and international business development.
Sandra obtained her MBA in International Business from ESCP-EAP (Groupe HEC) in France and her Postgraduate Diploma in Training and Human Resource Management from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. She is currently completing her PhD in Economics at the Discipline of International Business, Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Sydney in Australia.
Her current research interests are in MNE theory, internationalisation and performance, and internationalisation and risk. Her research work has received recognition from regional and international bodies. The Academy of International Business (AIB) nominated her for the Haynes Prize for Most Promising Scholar in 2007, and one of her papers received the Best Paper Award (Critical Management Studies) from the Australia and New Zealand Academy of Management also in 2007.
