Sarah Beresford is a graduate from The University of Sydney, Macquarie Graduate School of Management, The University of Technology, and Charles Sturt University. She is a Lecturer in the Business Programs Unit at The University of Sydney Business School, where she teaches business strategy and critical thinking in the context of the global business environment.
Most recently, Sarah completed a Master of Teaching with Honours from The University of Sydney. She completed her Master of Business Administration at Macquarie Graduate School of Management, specialising in international management, and was awarded a scholarship to study abroad. Her studies abroad focussed on approaches to sustainable leadership, whereby she engaged with senior executives at international firms headquartered in Switzerland and Germany such as UBS, Munich Re, Kärcher, and Ravensburger.
Prior to joining The University of Sydney, Sarah held various marketing management roles spanning 20 years in the IT&T, hospitality, and professional services industries. She has worked with leading companies KPMG, Hutchison Telecoms, SITA (Société Internationale de Télécommunications Aéronautiques), Clayton Utz Lawyers, The Four Seasons Hotel Group, and Pitney Bowes (formerly MapInfo). Sarah has also contracted long-term for investor relations projects with technology start-ups developing RFID applications and interactive broadband multimedia distribution and content management platforms, such as ImagineBroadband (an Accenture Company), the Swiss-based Fantastic Corporation (through JV's with Deutsche Telecom and IBM), and Intag International (a JV with Daimler-Benz Aerospace).
Sarah is a Fellow and Certified Practising Marketer of The Australian Marketing Institute. She is accredited by the NSW Department of Education's Teacher Accreditation Authority and registered with the NSW Institute of Teachers. Sarah has been recognised for her contribution to her students as a recipient of the Dean's Citation for Tutoring in both 2012 and 2011.
