Soumen is a senior transport modelling consultant with over 10 years of transport engineering and modelling experiences in Australia and overseas, engaged in the development and management of transport modelling, planning and engineering projects.

After graduation with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Soumen worked as a lecturer in Stamford University, Bangladesh and carried out civil engineering courses for undergraduate students and diploma engineers for four semesters. Soumen also completed his masters in Transportation Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Australia in 2007.

The core of his experiences has been consulting on large road infrastructure planning and land development projects with a focus on complex transport modelling and road network assessment. His skills cover major roads and corridor upgrades, route option studies, traffic simulation, toll road forecasting, network performance analysis, concept and detail design assessment, traffic impact assessment for major land development sites and road safety studies.

Future Transport Network Modelling with the impact of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs)

Soumen will carry out the research on the transport network modelling with a particular focus on the Autonomous Vehicles (AVs).
