Bio

Thang Bui has a PhD degree in Machine Learning from the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge, UK, where he was a member of Trinity College. He has a BEng (Hons) from the University of Adelaide.

He is broadly interested in machine learning and statistics with a particular focus on neural networks, probabilistic models, approximate Bayesian inference and sequential decision making under uncertainty. Some of his recent work includes continual learning for neural networks, scalable inference for Gaussian process models, and building deep and flexible nonparametric models for a wide range of applications.
