Sport and Study at the University of Sydney Business School

Former Australian Rugby Union representative and recent Business School graduate Phil Waugh.

Sport Partnerships

The University of Sydney Business School believes study is a natural fit with elite sporting pursuits. We have committed to a number of sponsorship agreements with local and state sporting clubs, with the aims of furthering our key goal of student and community engagement, supporting elite athletes undertaking university education and contributing to the effective management of sporting organisations through quality education.

The Business School recently signed a three-year sponosorship agreement with the Sydney University Football Club, and in 2011 signed a one-year agreement with Rowing NSW, the state governing body of the sport of rowing.

The Business School is also an active partner in the University's elite sports program, offering highly flexible study options to committed athletes, including a number of senior representative rugby players who are currently completing postgraduate degree programs at the Business School.

Sports Scholarships

The University of Sydney Business School offers, in conjunction with Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness, Scholarships for Outstanding Academic and Sporting Achievement.

The scholarships range in value up to $10,000 and are awarded each year to talented athletes based on academic merit, who are already competing at state and/or national levels and will be undertaking a degree with the University of Sydney Business School.
