EXCITING INTERNATIONAL DOUBLE DEGREE OPPORTUNITY FOR MASTER OF COMMERCE STUDENTS

The Sydney-Bocconi Double Degree in Accounting and Finance

The University of Sydney Business School (USBS) has formed an exciting new Double Degree partnership with Italy’s leading business school, Universita Comerciale Luigi Bocconi (Bocconi). The new two year Double Degree leads to the award of both the Master of Commerce from the USBS and the Master of Accounting, Financial Management and Control from Bocconi.

The Double Degree opportunity is limited to a maximum of two students per institution annually, with selection based on competitive merit.

How it works

By following a structured program of study at both Sydney and Bocconi, students are granted advanced standing at both institutions in a reciprocal agreement. The program structure is as follows:

University of Sydney Business School

BUSS5000 Critical Thinking in Business (commencing unit)

Students first complete this sequence* of study in Sydney as the pre-requisite to the compulsory units of study required in Bocconi.
This sequence of 48 cp is equivalent to a full-time year of study.
This study is recognised by Bocconi as advanced standing in the Master of Accounting, Financial Management and Control.

ACCT5001 Accounting Principles

CLAW5001 Legal Environment of Business

QBUS5001 Quantitative Methods for Business

ECON5002 Macroeconomic Theory (or alternative economics unit)

Financial reporting and international accounting

This sequence of study completes the Master of Accounting, Financial Management and Control at Bocconi and will be granted as advanced standing in the Master of Commerce at Sydney University.
In Sydney, this sequence of study means the student will be awarded the Accounting specialisation in the Master of Commerce.
This study totals 67 ECTS and is equivalent to a full-time year of study.
