Happiness, Health and Wellbeing @ Work Conference, 14th of September

The Happiness, Health and Wellbeing @ Work conference is facilitated by some of Australia's leading experts on psychology, leadership and Human Resources. The conference, now in it's fifth year, presents the latest research and strategies on workplace health and wellbeing programs.

This year the first half of the day will be presented by the wellbeing experts from the ABC show 'Making Australia Happy'. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear the lessons learnt from the TV show and how these lessons can be applied to Australian workers and workplaces.

Following their lively introductory session Dr. Tony Grant, Director, Coaching Psychology Unit, University of Sydney, Dr. Russ Harris, Mindfulness Expert and Anna-Louise Bouvier, Physiotherapist and Mind Body Expert will each be presenting a motivating workshop in their specialized areas so participants can interactively learn more about either Positive Psychology in the workplace, Mindfulness and the ways a happier body can make a happier mind.

To maintain a healthy balance at the conference and to ensure discussion is plentiful, Joanna McMillan, Nutrition & Wellbeing Expert on the 'Today Show' will be chairing the sessions for the day.

Happiness, Health and Wellbeing @ Work 2011 promises to be one of the most practical conferences to date with participants getting the opportunity to take away ideas and learn from the challenges encountered by other companies. Case Studies will be presented by NAB, the Black Dog Institute and two further studies on stress and workplace health and wellbeing will be presented by the Workplace Research Centre.

The afternoon will conclude with a World Cafe session on happiness + wellbeing in the workplace, where participants will have the opportunity to discuss their challenges, obstacles and ideas with experts and fellow attendees. This important floor discussion will be facilitated by Joanna McMillan and Wellbeing Consultant Cris Popp.

Who attends?

The conference attracts around 100-150 HR Managers, OHS, Wellbeing Managers each year from both the private and public sector. This is conference will be especially useful for those involved in implementing Wellbeing programs in the workplace but also useful for workers who are looking for health and wellbeing ideas to bring back to their workplace.
