About Sydney Cancer Conference, 14 - 16 July 2010

Profiling risk, personalising treatment, and predicting outcomes

Following on from a very successful inaugural conference in 2008, the second Sydney Cancer Conference (SCC2010) was held from Wednesday 14 – Friday 16 July 2010 at the Eastern Avenue Complex, The University of Sydney. The two main conference days, 15 – 16 July 2010, featured plenary and concurrent sessions with an emphasis on cancer research translation.

SCC2010 was held under the auspices of the University of Sydney Cancer Research Network. The Organising Committee and Cancer Research Network would like to thank all cancer researchers who attended SCC2010.

SCC2010 helped foster the development of Australia’s future generation of cancer researchers, and provided a national forum to showcase emerging research and areas of strength in cancer research across Australia.

The theme for SCC2010 was 'Profiling risk, personalising treatment and predicting outcomes'.

For cancer researchers and clinicians, SCC2010 was an important opportunity to exchange information on current and emerging knowledge, forge new collaborations, and identify future opportunities in cancer research and patient care.
