Online registration for the Sydney Cancer Conference 2010 (SCC2010) is now open.

We encourage you to come along to SCC2010 and learn about new technologies, and discuss and exchange information with other professionals working across the cancer sector.

How to register

Online registration for the Sydney Cancer Conference 2010 closes at 5.00pm on Friday 9 July. If you would like to register after this date please complete and return a softcopy of the registration form.

Registration at the conference will be available. Payment by credit card will be required.

Registration fees

All fees are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST.

Registrations received after 9 July 2010 will be regarded as an onsite registration fee and charged accordingly.

Entitlements

Full delegate and student registration fee includes:

  • Entry to all conference sessions including any public lectures associated with the conference
  • Entry to the opening ceremony, public lecture and welcome reception (Wednesday evening 14 July 2010)
  • Coffee and tea on arrival on 15-16 July 2010
  • Morning & afternoon teas
  • Lunch on 15-16 July 2010
  • Entrance to exhibition
  • Conference satchel
  • Conference materials including conference abstract book

Please note that conference dinner tickets are NOT included in the registration fee.

Tickets can be purchased at the time of registration for A$110 per person (including GST), and are limited.

If tickets have reached the limit of 200, the Secretariat will advise you of your status.

Method of payment

Payment of fees must accompany all registration forms. Registration will not be confirmed until full payment is received. Payment can be made by the following methods:

  • Journal transfer (University of Sydney employees only)* - GST FREE
  • Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club)** - 10% GST applies
  • Personal or company cheque (Australian delegates only) - 10% GST applies

Please note that debits to your credit card, excluding accommodation, will appear as ICMS Australasia on your credit card statement.

*According to University Corporate Credit Card policy, University of Sydney staff should make payment by journal transfer rather than using a Corporate Credit Card.
**Note that if you are making a credit card payment from a country outside Australia, for security reasons you must first advise your banking institution of the impending charge and authorise them to allow the charge from Australia to be processed. Allow up to 48 hours (this is due to the time difference between our countries).

Cancellation of registration

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the . Cancellations made before 14 May 2010 will be refunded less AUD150.00 to cover administration costs. Refunds for cancellations received on or after 14 May 2010 will only be made in exceptional circumstances. As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person on or before 14 May 2010 without incurring any cost penalty. The conference secretariat must be advised in writing of any alterations or transfers.

Cancellation of accommodation

No accommodation deposits will be refunded on or after 14 May 2010.

Delegates are required to provide credit card details in order for ICMS Australasia to secure accommodation. If credit card details are not received 30 days prior to the Conference start date, accommodation will be released.

Delegates who confirm attendance and provide credit card details but do not advise of cancellation before the 30 day period of Conference commencement will incur charges for the 'no-show' rate, as penalised by the hotel. This charge is calculated as the room rate per night multiplied by the dates booked and secured.

Please ensure that accommodation dates are correct at time of booking.

Liability

In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Organising Committee and Conference Secretariat do not accept responsibility for loss of monies incurred by delay or cancellation of the meeting. We advise all delegates to take out personal travel insurance. All general travel and accommodation information is provided as a service only and details should be checked directly with the service provider. The Organising Committee reserves the right to change the program.

Media pass

To request a media pass for SCC2010, please contact Merilyn Heuschkel via . Media passes are limited and are granted only to journalists who intend to cover SCC2010.

If your request for a media pass is approved, you will receive an email message from the SCC2010 Secretariat, usually within a week.

A media pass entitles you to entrance to plenary and concurrent sessions of SCC2010.
