Biographical details
Loretta Lau is the leader of the Neuroblastoma Research Group at the Children's Cancer Research Unit, Kids Research Institute, The Children's Hospital at Westmead. She is also a Senior Lecturer of the Discipline of Paediatrics and Child Health, Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney. She was the Clinical Research Fellow of the Cancer Institute of NSW (2008 - 2010) and is currently a NHMRC Early Career Research Fellow (2011 - 2014. She has received project grants from Cure Cancer Australia Foundation, Pablove Foundation (USA), and clive and Ramaciotti Foundation. [More...]
Research interests
Dr Loretta Lau is a clinician-scientist and paediatric oncologist. Her major research interest is neuroblastoma, a common childhhod cancer. Her laboratory research group located at The Children's Hospital at Westmead focuses on telomere biology and telomnere length maintenance in neuroblastoma.
