Are you interested in starting a research interest group?

The Cancer Research Network would like to hear from members who are interested in establishing a Special Interest Group (SIG) in cancer research.

The purpose of SIGs is to promote and enhance focused discussion between members of the Cancer Research Network within particular fields of cancer research (for instance, groups could be centred on particular research models, subjects, or techniques). These groups are initiated and run by scientists in the Cancer Research Network at the University of Sydney and its affiliated teaching hospitals and research institutes.

Some central coordination for the groups will be provided by the Network, and information about group activities or new groups will be published on the Cancer Research Network website and emailed to members.

A small amount of funding is available to help get groups going.

For further information, please refer to Establishing Special Interest Groups (SIGs) within The University of Sydney Cancer Research Network (PDF) which includes general guidelines for the running of SIGs, or contact the Network Office by or on 9114 1943.
