International Student Career Development Program
Get Career Centred with our new employability program designed specifically for international students. Finding a job in Australia can be tough if you don’t know where to look or are unsure about how to market your skills to potential employers. This brand new series of workshops will help you to develop the skills you need to create a strong resume, uncover the hidden job market, and answer interview questions with confidence. All workshops are highly interactive and are designed to enhance your communication skills as well as your job prospects. The more you participate, the more you will get out of the sessions.
- Resume basics: Wednesday 7 March, 1–2pm
- Career planning: Wednesday 13 March, 1–2pm
- Interview skills: Tuesday 19 March, 1–2pm
- Job search: Monday 25 March, 1–2pm
- Resume basics: Tuesday 16 April, 1–2pm
Additional Activities
In addition to the workshops, you can register your interest to receive information about volunteering, employer site visits, on-campus events, and internship vacancies. All registered students will be sent a link to a database of volunteer vacancies and a step by step guide on how to apply. Information about other activities and events will be emailed to you as they arise. This is a great opportunity to gain some exposure to the Australian workplace, expand your local networks, and boost your resume. You can register your interest here.
