Intensive Test Preparation (ITP)
What is Intensive Test Preparation (ITP)?
ITP is an intensive preparation course for students intending to undertake English language testing through IELTS, TOEFL iBT or PTE.
ITP is also for students who wish to qualify for entry into Direct Entry Courses (DEC).

What will I learn?
Our preparation courses introduce you to exam-taking strategies, provide extensive exam practice using course books and past papers, and provide opportunities for you to develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
You will receive:
- expert tuition
- familiarisation with test content
- upgrading of test-taking skills
- support in areas of difficulty
- specific test-taking tips
- feedback on practice tests covering your listening, speaking, reading and writing.
What do I need to enter this course?
There are no entry requirements. You will be placed in a class according to your IELTS score or equivalent or your score on the CET placement test. Students below IELTS 4.5 will initially be placed in the General English (GE) program.
How many hours a week will I need to study?
You will need to attend classes for 20 hours a week. You will also be expected to do additional work after class.
When does this course start and finish?
There are nine intakes per year, but you can join an ongoing course on any Monday.

How long is this course?
The minimum course length is two weeks, but the course is usually studied in 11-week blocks.
How long you will need to study will depend on your current level of English, how quickly you progress in the course and the English language level you want to achieve.
What is the tuition fee?
- The tuition fee for ITP is $425 per week.
