Global English

Global English (GE) is a unique course that builds the skills and confidence for successful social and professional communication in Australia and abroad.

You may undertake the Global English course as part of a Customised Program during your time in Sydney. Global English is 20 hours per week, which is 4 hours per day (Monday - Friday) either in the morning or afternoon. The minimum age for Global English is 18 years.

You may choose one of the following options below:

Global English (open classes)

This option means your group will be integrated into one of our existing Global English classes. You will attend classes with other international students from a variety of countries around the world.

Global English (closed classes)

This option means your group will have their own private Global English classes. Global English (closed classes) requires a minimum of 15 students.

What will I learn?

  • Transfer English language skills from the classroom to the real world through communicative, task-based and mobile learning activities.
  • Learn crucial employability skills such as resume writing, interview etiquette and workplace communication.

  • Acquire digital literacy skills by creating online portfolios, blogs and videos.
  • Learn to deliver high-quality presentations and engage with multicultural audiences.


Global English (open classes)

AUD$1440 for 2 weeks, AUD$460 per week after.

Global English (closed classes)

AUD$1000 for 1 week.

AUD$1440 for 2 weeks, AUD$460 per week after.


Global English (open classes)

Minimum 2 weeks. No maximum limit on weeks.

Global English (closed classes)

1 week available for minimum 20 students.

2-40 weeks available for minimum 15 students.

Credit card surcharges

Course payments made by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) will incur a surcharge of 1.53% of the total cost.

Overseas Health Cover (OSHC)

If you are intending to study under a student visa, you will need Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). CET can arrange OSHC for you with Allianz as part of the application process. Simply indicate the type of insurance required (single/dual/family) on step 2 of the application form. You may also arrange your own cover from any of the government approved providers below:
