Student Engagement Council event

The CET’s Student Engagement Council is a series of interactive workshops supporting and enhancing the student experience at CET as well as developing essential skills for academic success.

  • CONNECT: meet with other CET students, make new friends and engage with local and international students in a fun environment;
  • EMPOWER: learn new skills, develop your confidence and deepen your knowledge in a cross-cultural environment;
  • TRANSFORM: develop personally and professionally by challenging yourself and become the best version of yourself, ready for University!

What you need to know about CET’s SEC workshops:

  • All workshops are free to attend.
  • Each week, we offer a different workshop. To find out what our weekly workshop is, check our Facebook Page or ask your teacher.
    Example of sessions: intercultural communication, tips for CVs and finding a job, sport competition, student barbecue, academic writing, etc.
  • Attending the workshops will demonstrate a proactive approach. We highly recommend students attend the workshops as studies have shown that the most engaged students are most likely to succeed in their course.
  • By attending the SEC workshops, you will be eligible to join our CET Leaders Network. You can find out more about the Network during the workshops.
