Each year, more students broaden their personal, professional and academic horizons through the University of Sydney's Student Exchange Program, which 2001 sent 220 students overseas either one or two semesters.

Exchange programs are not just undergraduate students. The University currently has 110 student exchange agreements across most faculties, many which are open to both postgraduate coursework and research students. These agreements are spread across institutions throughout Asia, Western Europe, Canada, the United States of America and the United Kingdom. Instruction is available both English and various foreign languages. New programs are regularly added the exchange portfolio.

As a full-time student, you can spend a semester or a year your program overseas completing study that can be credited towards your Sydney degree. While many research postgraduates already spend time overseas, the exchange program allows you to do this the supportive infrastructure both the host university and your home university.

Certain institutions may also have additional criteria. Scholarships are available, and exchange and scholarship application forms can be obtained the International Office.
