The University of Sydney Centre for English Teaching was highly represented and commended during the 2017 English Australia Conference in Adelaide. This year, the conference focused on Empowering Global Citizens, a theme extremely relevant and close to the Centre’s values of ‘Connect, Empower and Transform’.
Kymia was awarded the prestigious award during an Awards Ceremony hosted by His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales at Government House, Sydney.

Building on the University’s strategic initiative of connecting the ‘best and brightest students’, CET’s leadership network combines leadership skills and graduate attributes to ensure a highly engaged international student experience.
The CET MOOC team was a winner of the University of Sydney Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in the category Outstanding Educational Engagement and Innovation.
August couldn’t have come any quicker… With half of 2017 already gone, it is now time for the University of Sydney Centre for English Teaching to look back and reflect on what has happened in this first half of the year.
The Centre for English Teaching is proud to announce the launch of ‘CET Connect’, the first international student engagement mobile app in Australia for university pathway students, which was released last Monday 17th July to a cohort of approximately 400 university pathway students.
The CET Student Engagement Program is a successful initiative from the Centre for English Teaching which aims to develop and support student engagement outside of the classroom.
The University of Sydney Centre for English Teaching said farewell to over 500 pathway students by celebrating their achievements last Friday 7th July in the Great Hall.
Last Thursday 16th March, the University of Sydney Centre for English Teaching celebrated the launch of the “Academic Skills for University Success” Specialization with a sophisticated and educational event in the Refectory on the Camperdown campus.
‘Academic Skills for University Success: Capstone’, the fifth and final MOOC in CET’s ‘Academic Skills for University Success’ Specialization on Coursera, goes live on the 13th of March.
