Student support

Our experienced staff are available at CET to provide you with variety of advice and support. We have educational advice about options for further studies - universities, business colleges, technical colleges.

If you are having problems with your course, we suggest that you talk to your teacher first and then if the problem persists, book an appointment to talk to your education manager.

Appointments can be booked at reception.

Simon Messner - Student Counsellor
 

Simon is our student counsellor.  He is available on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10.00am-12.00pm and 2.00pm-5.00pm. Please make an appointment with reception.

In the event CET's counsellor is unavailable, you are welcome to contact the Student Representative Council (SRC) for assistance.

SRC can assist you with the following:

  • Casework assistance for problems with accommodation and employment. This generally involves assisting you to access external complaint mechanisms and supporting you throughout the complaint process. Please note that the SRC cannot assist you to find jobs or accommodation.
  • Legal advice on matters including, but not limited to immigration, fines, traffic accidents, criminal charges, disputes with telcos, debts etc.
  • Emergency loans are available. You will need to provide photo ID and proof you are enrolled at CET to obtain a loan. Loans must be repaid within 1 month.
