CHINA STUDIES CENTRE’S GRANT FOR THE HARVARD UNIVERSITY MOBILITY SCHEME – GUIDELINES

To favour and encourage the collaboration between the academics at the University of Sydney and Harvard University, the China Studies Centre is providing three additional AU $3,000 grants to the top three ranked China research focused applications awarded by the Office of Global Engagement’s Harvard University Mobility Scheme.

To be eligible for the additional grant, China Studies Centre’s members will simply need to apply to the Office of Global Engagement's Harvard University Mobility Scheme and the top three ranked academic projects on China studies will automatically receive the grant from the China Studies Centre. Applications close on 15 September 2017.

Eligibility criteria:

1. membership of the China Studies Centre at the time of application

2. a collaborative project that helps advance the understanding of any aspect of China

3. completion of a valid

application through the Office of Global Engagement

4. an indication in the application form (attached) of how the extra AU $3,000 will contribute to the improvement of the collaborative project (as part of the "statement of academic purpose")

5. the commitment to use the funding before 30 September 2018

6. the commitment to present a public seminar and to write a short research report for the China Studies Centre within three months of return from Harvard.
