Centre for Obesity, Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease

The University of Sydney is committed to building on its strong academic and research credentials in the areas of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease by bringing together this unique research collaboration across all of its disciplines.

We are focused on turning academic discoveries into solutions that improve and transform lives in both our local community and around the world.

We will use approaches from across the spectrum of basic, clinical and population research as well as enabling sciences, design, policy and the social sciences.

The work of the centre will involve partnerships throughout New South Wales, due to our network of teaching hospitals. We will also work in tandem with the medical research institutes affiliated with the University, and collaborate interstate and internationally with leading research universities, institutes and centres.
