Partners & Community

We partner with peak organisations, local government and community to broaden our impact:

Fairfield Library and its branches host information events for parents and students. Compass homework clubs will be located in each of the branches and offer access points to the online tutoring service, YourTutor.

The Smith Family and the University of Sydney joined forces in 2004 in a long-term partnership to extend our reach into disadvantaged communities and encourage students from disadvantaged backgrounds to attend higher education. The University of Sydney was the first university to partner with The Smith Family in this way.

Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME) The University of Sydney supported the foundation of AIME and has continued that support since 2009. AIME provides a dynamic educational program that gives Indigenous high school students the skills, opportunities, belief and confidence to finish school at the same rate as their peers. AIME has proven to dramatically improve the chances of Indigenous students finishing school. AIME also connects students with post Year 12 opportunities, including further education and employment.
