Compass has been designed to have a cumulative impact on students' awareness of and confidence towards progressing to higher education. The intention is that a student will move throughout the 4 stages of the program, spanning across their primary and high school career, in order for the program to have genuine impact on their capacity.
The four stages are:
- Discover - early experience for Year 3-6.
- Explore - introductory experience for early high school students in Year 7-8.
- Inquire - a focus on the skills to succeed in the middle high school Year 9-10.
- Experience - tailored and specific information and skills for later high school Year 11 and 12.
Running concurrently to the four stages are the Compass Skills Enrichment programs over all year levels, which are designed to further develop learning, independence and participation.
