The students that I work with aren't the only ones that are being benefited by this program – I am getting to see things from a different perspective.
I strongly feel that kids should be given opportunities to experience university during their school years.
When I’m in front of the class the level of enthusiasm and inquisitiveness of the students is so encouraging and inspiring.
I have learnt what teaching is really like, and my experiences have affirmed my decision to go into education.
The other volunteers are great fun, the staff at the school are super friendly, the kids are great too!
I really wanted to be helpful even in a small way, and have been pleased with how vibrant the Compass program is.
Learning how to be on the same level as the kids and become friends with them has been really eye-opening.
I really believe that the kids will not forget their experiences, just like I have not forgotten similar experiences I had in primary school.
I love teaching and being able to go into a school and work one-on-one with a student is so rewarding.
I feel like life has given me everything I’ve needed, and I really want to give something to my community in return.
I really like working with kids, and because I love reading Compass was really relevant to my interests.
I think it’s a great program because it’s necessary. I believe kids are the world’s future.
