Established in 1874, the Art Gallery of NSW is one of Australia’s leading art museums. Overlooking Sydney Harbour and only 15 minutes walk from the city centre, the gallery houses over 1000 pieces of artwork originating from China.
The Art Gallery of NSW frequently holds major visiting exhibitions from China. In 2011, the gallery hosted an exhibition of 120 objects from the Terracotta Warriors collection of Xi’an.

The White Rabbit Collection is one of the world’s largest and most significant collections of contemporary Chinese art. It focuses on works produced after 2000.
The White Rabbit Gallery, a converted former knitting factory near Sydney’s Central Station, has four floors of exhibition space as well as a theatrette, a library and a teahouse. Only a fraction of the Collection is on show at any time. The entire contents of the gallery are rehung twice a year.
