Jack Clegg (BLibStud '04 PhD '08 LLB '09)
Jack Clegg has an outstanding academic record having graduated with two degrees with 1st Class Honours and a PhD. He has also been the recipient of numerous prizes and awards including the University Medal.
Jack worked energetically to enrich University life during his two terms as postgraduate Fellow of the Senate, where he sat on committees overseeing areas such as finance and appeals. He served a successful term as President of SUPRA and took on the responsibility of acting President for the SRC in the President's absence.
He has also been an editor of a number of publications including the Student Survival Guide, which provides important information to students on areas such as accommodation, finance, health and transport.
Jack has played double bass with the University Symphony Orchestra since 2000.
Anna Garsia (BSc(Adv) '06 LLB '09)
Anna Garsia is the joint recipient of the 2009 Convocation Medal. Anna graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) and has received an array of honours in recognition of her academic ability. She was awarded the University Medal in Biochemistry and the Goldman Sachs Global Leadership Program Award.
Anna also participated in the law-specific exchange to Harvard Law School in 2008. She is a gifted debater who has competed at the Australasian Championships and at the World Universities Debating Championship, where she attained victory in 2007.
Anna has made many contributions to university life as a Debates Committee member, HoniSoit editor, Honorary Secretary of the Sydney University Law Students Society and Design Editor of the journal Yemaya.
