Terms & conditions
Elections for membership of the University of Sydney Alumni Council are held every four years. The term of the current Faculty-based* membership is 2010-2013. The next election will be held in November 2013.

For the purposes of the election, the University of Sydney Alumni Council is made up of elected representatives of faculties or boards of studies or colleges or groups thereof as follows:
- Faculty of Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources (1 member)
- Faculty of Architecture (1 member)
- Faculty of Arts(6 members)
- Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Sydney College of the Arts (1 member)
- Faculty of Dentistry (1 member)
- Faculty of Economics & Business, AGSM (5 members)
- Faculty of Education & Social Work (3 members)
- Faculty of Engineering & Information Technologies (2 members)
- Faculty of Health Sciences (3 members)
- Faculty of Law (2 members)
- Faculty of Medicine (3 members)
- Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery (1 member)
- Faculty of Pharmacy (1 member)
- Faculty of Science (5 members)
- Faculty of Veterinary Science (1 member)

* The University of Sydney Alumni Council membership comprises 36 members elected by graduates and 9 members of executive alumni associations/chapters appointed by the Vice-Chancellor on the recommendation of the President of the University of Sydney Alumni Council and the Director of Alumni Relations.
