Copying for educational purposes - a quick guide
This guide gives an overview of copying and communication of copyright material for educational purposes.
Note the following:
- the Library’s eReadings Service is the University's official repository for all online, text-based, third-party copyright materials required for student course work. This policy was adopted to ensure compliance with the strict limits on copying and communication set down in the Copyright Act.
- access to online material must be restricted to University staff and students under the Parts VA and VB of Copyright Act and the Music Licence
- acknowledge the author and source of each work you use in teaching resources to comply with the moral rights clauses of the Copyright Act.
This table gives a summary of the main types of materials used in teaching.
