The Sydney Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations (HRM&IR) is designed for those who want to undertake a short academic training course for career reasons, or to sample further study to assess whether a Graduate Diploma in HRM&IR or Master of HRM&IR program would be suitable for them.
A graduate certificate is a good entry point for students wanting to consolidate their understanding of HRM&IR. In most circumstances, you can choose to progress to the graduate diploma or master’s course in HRM&IR on successful completion of the graduate certificate.

Further course information
The Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations requires the completion 24 credit points comprising two components:
(i) three core units of study (18 credit points), comprising a foundation unit and two advanced units; and
(ii) one elective units of study (six credit points).
The core unit of study are: WORK5002 People, Work and Employment, WORK6017 Human Resource Strategies and WORK6033 Organisational Sustainability. Completion of one elective units is a requirement of the Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations.
The Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations courses provide high-level training in human resource management and industrial relations and is a specialised qualification for those engaged in, or contemplating careers in these and related areas. Prepare to further your career in traditional IR organisations such as unions, employer bodies and government as well as in HRM, research, policy development, consultancy work, industrial law and many aspects of private and public sector management.

Postgraduate Domestic Tuition Fee
This 2013, tuition fee for a domestic postgraduate student represents the fee that is payable by you in the calendar year you commence your course, commencing in 2012 for a standard annual full time load of 48 credit points (1.0 EFTSL). If your study load is more or less than the 1.0 EFTSL your fee will differ.

Additional incidental fees
