Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Advanced Restorative)

The Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Advanced Restorative) will provide you with a high level of knowledge and advanced skills in the areas of advanced restorative dentistry, prosthodontics and oral implants. The graduate diploma builds on the foundation of the graduate certificate and provides more intensive theoretical and clinical work in the Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) or may be pursued through a higher degree by research in the field.

Study plan

The student workload in the Graduate Diploma will be carried out in 5 two-week blocks of full-time work, interspersed with period of personal practice with specific tasks. The teaching methods used in the Graduate Diploma will comprise seminars and small group tutorials, assignments, reports, clinical practice, case presentations and discussion, and demonstrations

Admission

Admission requirements

A successful applicant for admission to the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Advanced Restorative) will hold a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney, or other equivalent institution as deemed by the Faculty, and have at least two years' general dental practice experience.
All applications will be ranked according to academic merit after the application closing date. Successfully ranked applicants will be invited to participate in an interview with the Faculty of Dentistry in April/May. Offers to all successful applicants will be issued in late June early July.

Applications are made directly to the University and assessed by the Faculty. On-time applications for the March Semester close on the 1st day of February the preceding year.

International students
