Graduate Diploma in Clinical Trials Practice
The information on this page applies to future students. Current students should refer to their faculty handbooks for course information.
Clinical trials are well recognised as an important research discipline and as the key to improving outcomes for patients across every field of health care. Nurses and health professionals play a central role in the successful conduct of clinical trials. With the increasing complexity of clinical research and its regulation, a greater level of knowledge and expertise is required for all nurses and health professionals involved in the clinical trials process. The new and innovative postgraduate program in clinical trials practice is an excellent opportunity for those aiming to specialise and pursue a career in clinical trials. It has been developed in response to the need for formal postgraduate qualifications to meet the demands and complexity of clinical trials.
Students may choose to complete the graduate diploma or use it as a pathway into the master’s degree in this discipline . In addition, completion of the graduate diploma allows students to gain admission to the Master of Clinical Trials Research offered by Sydney Medical School .
