Labour and Employment Law
POSTGRADUATE SPECIALISATION
The specialisation in labour and employment law includes specific units of study in labour law, advanced employment law, discrimination in the workplace and dispute resolution offered as part of the Master of Laws award, and a flexible course of study for graduates who do not hold a law degree in the Master of Labour Law and Relations award. Elective studies include immigration and labour law, workplace bargaining and labour law in the global economy.
Study plan
Your study plan will depend on the master's degree or graduate diploma inn which you complete your specialisation. Please consult the Sydney Law School for advice.
Graduate opportunities
The specialisation has been developed specifically to meet the needs of two groups: those with degrees in non-legal disciplines and those with law degrees who wish to specialise in employment and industrial law. The interdisciplinary nature of the specialisation has made it highly attractive for candidates whose professional life draws together both law and practice in the field of industrial relations.
