Graduate Diploma in Transport Management

If you do not want to commit to a full Master of Transport Management program, you can gain a solid grounding through the Sydney Graduate Diploma in Transport Management. The graduate diploma is based on the master’s program but requires fewer units of study. In most circumstances, you can choose to progress to the Master of Transport Management on satisfactory completion of the graduate diploma.

Study plan
The Graduate Diploma in Transport Management requires the completion of 36 credit points comprising two components:
(i) three core units of study; and
(ii) three elective units of study.
The three core units consist of: TPTM6241 Transport Modes and Systems (foundation unit), TPTM6495 Analysis Tools for Transport and Logistics and TPTM6450 Transport Policy (capstone unit). Completion of three elective options is a requirement of the Graduate Diploma in Transport Management and students are required to select their electives from a specified list.
Graduate opportunities
The Transport Management programs provide training in the field of transport with particular emphasis on management and planning. Take advantage of career opportunities in fields such as railway management, traffic and revenue forecasts, transport planning, specialised urban planning focusing on travel demand management, travel market surveys and strategic policy advising.

For entry into this course, students must have either met the entry requirements as for the Master's degree OR have completed a bachelor's degree, graduate diploma, graduate certificate or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution (at standard acceptable to the Business School). Postgraduate Domestic Tuition Fee
This 2013, tuition fee for a domestic postgraduate student represents the fee that is payable by you in the calendar year you commence your course, commencing in 2012 for a standard annual full time load of 48 credit points (1.0 EFTSL). If your study load is more or less than the 1.0 EFTSL your fee will differ.
Annual review for postgraduate domestic tuition fee
Importantly, tuition fees are subject to annual review by the University, and are likely to increase each year of your period of study, effective at the start of each calendar year.
Additional incidental fees
For some courses there are incidental fees additional to the student contribution and/or course fee. Some of those fees are significant, for example, faculty-specific materials, tools, protected clothing and equipment. In addition to the fees indicated here for the course of study, International Students studying on an Australian Student Visa must have appropriate health insurance for the duration of their studies on a Student Visa through an approved provider of the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) scheme. This is a requirement of the Australian Government, unless otherwise exempted by the Government.
