POSTGRADUATE SPECIALISATION
A postgraduate major in computer networks will provide you with advanced knowledge in building, maintenance and support of computer communication networks within an organisation or between organisations. You may engage in areas of study including pervasive computing, internet protocols, parallel and distributed computing and advanced network technologies.
Study plan
To meet requirements for the computer networks major a candidate will complete 18 credit points (cp) from units available within that major. In addition, candidates will complete the unit INFO5990 Professional Practice in IT (6cp).

Computer networking is a rapidly growing industry, and consequently professionals with knowledge in this area are in high demand. Corporations and businesses both large and small need staff with networking knowledge and skills to design, install, maintain and protect their computer systems.
