What you’ll study

In the Bachelor of Visual Arts, you will complete:

  • six studio units of study that allow you to specialise across a range of disciplines relevant to contemporary art (ceramics, glass, jewellery, painting, photomedia, printmedia, screen arts or sculpture).
  • four Art History units which provide you with the theoretical concepts and historical context you need for an in-depth understanding of contemporary art practice. 
  • elective units from a broad range of electives in contemporary art or a second major from the University-wide pool of majors, excluding Visual Arts major. 

Please note completion of a second major is not mandatory in the Bachelor of Visual Arts.
