Master of Creative Writing
What you’ll study
The Master of Creative Writing is a postgraduate coursework degree that focuses on developing your core skills in creative writing, structuring, and editing of fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry and other forms of writing.
You will complete core units in the fundamentals of creative writing research and practice, specialist writing workshop units, and your selection of elective units from across the University.
Finally, you will complete a capstone unit where you will undertake a creative dissertation or project.

Before applying
Portfolio
All applicants for the Master of Creative Writing must also include a portfolio of 1,500 to 3,000 words of prose writing or 10 to 15 pages of poetry with their application.
