Master of Marine Science and Management
What you’ll study
The Master of Marine Science and Management is a postgraduate coursework degree that will enable you to solve real-world problems and tackle the variety of challenges facing our coasts and the ocean. Explore coastal management, environmental modelling, data analysis, marine law, dynamic coastal process, marine biology, reef science and climate change.
You will gain both a theoretical understanding and applied skills to connect marine processes and the challenges that are associated with managing such a dynamic environment.
If completing the coursework pathway you will take core units that develop your foundational knowledge, and you can choose elective units that match your interests. If you are admitted to the research pathway, you will take core units which includes an additional research project, and a reduced number of elective units.
This degree is part of a joint program between the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales, under the umbrella of the Sydney Institute of Marine Science.
