Specialisation

Our Power Engineering specialisation focuses on the areas of power systems, power electronics, control engineering, energy systems and management.

It builds on foundations in physics, mathematics, computer science and electrical engineering principles to explore the generation, transmission, distribution and utilisation of electricity as well as the design of a range of related devices. 

Graduate opportunities

As a graduate of our Power Engineering specialisation, you will be equipped to pursue a career with industrial corporations and government departments involved with providing, converting, controlling, managing, and using electrical power.

You may also conduct research on developing new technology for utilising alternative and renewable power sources such as solar and wind energy.
