Clinical Epidemiology

Level: Postgraduate coursework

Clinical epidemiology is the science of applying the best available research evidence to patient care. Our postgraduate program provides clinicians with the opportunity to learn the principles of clinical epidemiology, or best evidence. The program has been designed to ensure that you apply the theory that you learn to patient-based examples, and that you're able to quickly integrate that theory into your day-to-day work.

The program also provides a solid foundation for the pursuit of a research career and is offered at graduate certificate, graduate diploma and master's degree level. The Master of Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) is open to applicants who hold a medical qualification (MBBS). The Master of Science in Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) is open to applicants who hold a non-medical qualification. The two master's degrees offer the same course of study.
