Development Disability

Level: Postgraduate

The Developmental Disability program is designed to provide the opportunity for a range of candidates from backgrounds including medical, nursing, dental, allied health, social work, behavioural science, educational and other professions to develop specialist skills in the field of developmental disabilities.

The program is comprised of a Graduate Certificate of Health Science (Developmental Disability) and a Master of Health Science (Developmental Disability). Both courses are designed to expand awareness, knowledge and understanding of the issues faced by people with developmental disabilities. The program aims to enhance the skills of relevant professionals, to enable effective response to the challenges faced by the sector.

As Australia moves toward the National Disability Insurance Scheme there will be an unprecedented need for well-trained, research-literate leaders in disability services and policy and this course offers ideal preparation for individuals who wish to meet that demand.
